Nayttely koskettaa eri kulttuureista tulevia ihmisiä Kanadassa. Women´s Worlds -konferenssin näyttelyvastaanottoon osallistui naisten ja tyttöjen ihmisoikeuksien parissa työskenteleviä naisia 92:sta eri maasta.

MAAILMAN IHANIN TYTTÖ -VALOKUVANÄYTTELY

Maailman ihanin tyttö on valokuvaaja Miina Savolaisen sekä kymmenen helsinkiläisessä Hyvösen lastenkodissa varttuneen nuoren naisen rakastettu yhteisötaideprojekti, johon liittyy laaja, palkittu taidenäyttely sekä vuonna 2008 julkaistu valokuvakirja. Vuosikymmenen ajan kuvattu valokuvasarja on kasvutarina näkyväksi tulemisesta ja se on varhaisessa muodossaan ollut ensimmäisen kerran julkisesti näyttelynä esillä vuonna 2003. Kokonaisuudessaan 140 teosta käsittävä näyttelysarja seuraa tyttöjen kasvua lapsista nuoriksi aikuisiksi. Näyttelyn valokuvat ovat autenttisilla paikoissa, erilaisissa luonnonolosuhteissa ja eri puolilla Suomea kuvattuja perinteisiä valokuvia. Sarjan kuvat on valokuvattu filmille ja sen näyttelyteokset ovat pimiössä valottamalla tehtyjä, kromogeenisia värivedoksia.

Voimauttavan valokuvan menetelmällä toteutetussa yhteisötaideprojektissa kuvausprosessilla on ollut korjaava merkitys. Omakuvan hyväksyminen on itsen hyväksymisen metafora. Voimauttavassa valokuvauksessa sekä kuvaajan valta että valokuvan totuuden myytti käännetään yksilön subjektiiviseksi oikeudeksi määritellä itseään. Kuvat on suunniteltu ja toteutettu yhdessä nuorten kanssa.

Maailman ihanin tyttö -sarjan satumaisissa valokuvissa kaltoinkohdellut nuoret ovat saaneet nähdä itsensä vahvana ja ehjänä. Arkkityyppisissä kuvissa luonto suuruudessaan näyttäytyy haavoittuneen lapsen suojelijana. Projektin sanoma on jokaisen ihmisen oikeus kokea itsensä arvokkaaksi ja rakastetuksi. Työ ottaa kantaa taiteen yhteiskunnallisesti näkyväksi tekevään ja parantavaan merkitykseen.

Tamperetalossa nähtiin Miina Savolaisen Aalto-yliopistosta valmistuvien jatko-opiskelijoiden näyttely Lempeä katse – Voimauttavia valokuvia, jossa hoidollisten alojen ammattilaiset, luokanopettajasta ja työnohjaajasta aina pappiin, taideterapeuttiin ja ravitsemusterapeuttiin, olivat soveltaneet menetelmän dialogisen katseen ja vastavuoroisen ammatillisuuden lähtökohtia omassa asiakastyössään ja ammatillisessa kasvuprosessissaan. Näyttelyohjelmaan sisältyi avoin päättötyöseminaari ja yleisöluentoilta.

ISYYSPROJEKTI JA ISÄ – VOIMAUTTAVIA VALOKUVIA -NÄYTTELY:

ISÄ – VOIMAUTTAVIA VALOKUVIA

ISÄ – Voimauttavia valokuvia on koskettava ja lämmin, isyyttä moniulotteisesti käsittelevä yhteisötaidenäyttely, jonka on ohjannut valokuvataiteilija Miina Savolainen. Näyttelyn kiertue nähtiin syksyllä 2010 Raahen Galleria Myötätuulessa. Näyttely saavutti keväällä 2010 kaikkien aikojen yleisöennätyksen, 7 000 kävijää, Jyväskylän taidemuseossa. Kuluvana keväänä näyttely siirtyy Maailman ihanin tyttö -näyttelyn perässä Tampereelle.

Voimauttavan valokuvan menetelmällä kolmivuotisessa ryhmäprosessissa syntynyt näyttelykokonaisuus kertoo erilaisten isien lapsen elämään jättämistä jäljistä, isien sukupolviketjusta, yhteiskunnallisesta miehen ja isän roolien muutoksesta sekä lapsen arjessa läsnäolevasta isyydestä. Viidentoista kuvaajan sarjoista muodostuva näyttelykokonaisuus esittää moniulotteisen ja korjaavan kuvan isän merkityksellisyydestä.

ISÄ – Voimauttavia valokuvia -näyttely on viidentoista valokuvaajan voimauttavan valokuvan menetelmällä toteutettama yhteisötaideprojekti. Näyttelyn kuraattorina ja prosessiohjaajana toimi Miina Savolainen. Valokuvaajaryhmän jo vuonna 2005 alkanut isyysprojekti ja henkilökohtaiset elämänkokemukset ovat läsnä heidän valitsemissaan aiheissa ja lähestymistavoissa. Prosessin aikana ryhmä on lähestynyt isyys-teemaa ensin oman elämänkokemuksensa kautta siirtyen vähitellen tutkimaan isyyden erilaisia ilmentymiä ja näkymistä suomalaisessa yhteiskunnassa.

ISÄ – voimattavia valokuvia -näyttely kertoo tarinoita erilaisten isien merkityksestä lapsille, parisuhteille ja yhteiskunnalle. Miten isien sukupolviketju vaikuttaa lapsen elämän myöhempiin valintoihin? Voiko omaa isäsuhdetta korjata aikuisena, kun oma isä elää enää vain muistoissa? Miten muuttuvat rooliodotukset ovat muokanneet miesten tapoja ja mahdollisuuksia toteuttaa isyyttään?

ISÄ – voimauttavia valokuvia -näyttely nähtiin ensimmäisen kerran Helsingin Jugendsalissa 17.10.2007–13.1.2008, jossa se keräsi 18 000 katsojaa ja poikkeuksellisen määrän koskettunutta yleisöpalautetta. Helsingin jälkeen näyttely on ollut esillä Nurmeksen Galleria Tykossa 28.1.–2.3.2008, Valokuvakeskus Raseborgin tuottamana Karjaan Galleria Zebrassa 25.9.-16.10.2009 ja Lohjan Linderinsalissa 5.11.-27.11.2009 sekä Kaakkois-Suomen Valokuvakeskuksen tuottamana Imatran Kulttuurikeskuksessa 2.-19.12.2009. Jyväskylän taidemuseossa näyttely oli esillä 12.3.–23.5.2010., jonka jälkeen se nähtiin Raahen Galleria Myötätuulessa syksyllä 2010.

Isä -näyttely saapuu pääkaupunkiseudulle jälleen 2013, jolloin se on laajan yleisöohjelman kera esillä Vantaan taidemuseossa koko syksyn.
